Team and roles

Invite teammates and assign owner, admin, or member roles.

Bring colleagues into your HRHandle workspace and control what each person can do. Every user in an organization has exactly one role — owner, admin, or member.

The three roles

A short version: Members do the work, Admins manage the team, Owners control the org.

Invite a teammate

Open Settings → Team. The page shows current members at the top and an invite form below.

  1. Enter the new teammate's email.
  2. Pick Member or Admin in the role dropdown.
  3. Click Invite.

The invitee receives an email with a secure link to /join?token=.... When they sign up or sign in, the link is consumed automatically and they land in your organization with the role you assigned.

Pending invites appear in their own section below the form. You can resend or revoke them from there.

Changing a teammate's role

The current implementation doesn't expose a role-change action in the UI — to switch someone between Member and Admin, revoke their seat and re-invite at the new level. (This is a deliberate constraint to keep audit logs clean.)

Who can invite

Inviting and revoking invitations is Admin or Owner only. Members opening Settings → Team are redirected to their Profile page. The same applies to Subscription — members don't see it.

Limits

The number of seats your organization can use is controlled by your plan:

If you try to invite past the limit, HRHandle blocks the invite and points you at the Subscription page to upgrade.

Removing someone

Open the member's row and click the small actions menu, then choose Remove from organization. Their profile is deactivated; any candidates, vacancies, and applications they created stay in place under your org — only the user's access is removed. The owner cannot remove themselves; transfer ownership in Settings → Organization first if you need to.
